Last minute shopping

After a long and hot day at work for Joachim, we went for some last-minute shopping, completing Elien's list with the last missing items.
Nearly to completion, we went to buy the last item on THE LIST, some new shoes for Joachim. This was of course easier said than done. Joachim is apparently quite specific in his choice of footwear: he has a certain style, requires comfort and to top things off, an above normal size for european standards, a 46 or a 12 in amercan measures. Since he only wears one pair of shoes day in day out, his criteria are very hard to meet. At last, 5 stores later he finally found the perfect shoes, THANK YOU GOD!

So to temper Elien's frustration, or to celebrate the discovery of the century, we treated ourselves with italian ice cream, it sounded like a good idea at the time... But soon after we realized that Joachim's low lactose tolerance gives a bad combination with confined spaces, like elevators and airplanes...
Let's hope for Elien's sake that he is 'degassed' by tomorrow.

Finally we were able to pack our luguage, below you can see what Elien's luguage or bagage looks like!

Peru, here we come!
