Where will we go?

Hi everyone! 

This year we will travel to South America, the next continent on our list. South America has a lot to offer, from rain forests to deserts, from glaciers to volcanos, in other words, it is quite divers. As we want to tango with the most that South America has to offer we had to select a country that has it all.
Therefore we've chosen to travel to Peru... and a small part of Bolivia. So that makes two countries actually. Well... no, actually three considering we're leaving from the Paris airport.

Though for this 'blog trip' we'll stick to Peru and Bolivia, since nothing major will happen at the airport, we hope. You never know, a customs officer might feel lonely and frisk you or it could get even more intimate, but I won't go into the details.

So after we made our 'informed choice(s)', just a fancy youtube clip :D , we hit the books. Time for some literature study, well for Elien at least, Joachim was a bit slacking off on the reading part. Subsequently, Elien planned our trip, were we definitely could not miss the magnificent Uyuni, pictures will follow soon.

So after carefully planning our trip, we realized that we had one big problem, the spanish language.
Luckily we still had plenty of time to get familliarized with the language, or at least Elien, my rock!
To overcome this 'small' barrier Elien ( you see where this is going) started following a spanish class and in parallel she started doing duolinguo classes everyday. In comparison, Joachim's spanish is limited to 'Ola Cabron!' and 'cerveca' which translates as 'Hi male goat!' and 'beer', both of which are moderately useful.

So that is it,  now we're going to pack our bags according to Elien's list, yes she made a list, well quite a few actually, so she has the satisfaction of ticking the boxes.
